Because we believe in providing our customers with top quality products when it comes to fine art, RFG Art Photography creates it's prints using the EPSON Stylus® Pro 9600 Series wide format printer. With it's seven EPSON UltraChrome™ inks, it produces color prints with a color gamut approaching dye ink technologies. Use of this printer enables us to produce (on special order) prints up to 44" in width. For our fine art prints (color or black and white) with their various shades of black we use seven inks with both Matte Black and Light Black inks that are optimized for matte medias, such as Ultra Smooth Fine Art paper or Somerset® Velvet for Epson, so we can provide you with the highest quality level in inkjet printing for photographic images.

The Ultra Smooth Fine Art Paper that we use for our 17x22" prints is a buffered acid free, 100% cotton rag, mold made fine art paper with a weight of 325 g/m2 with a natural white base. The Somerset® Velvet bright white hot press paper we use for our 24x30" prints has the look and touch of Old World handmade paper and has a weight of 505 g/m2. This paper yields brilliant colors and deep blacks. It's surface is smooth for sharp details. Light fastness is over 70 years with Ultrachrome inks on this type of medium, when displayed indoors, under glass. Light fastness only estimates the life of the ink, not the media. To provide the best protection, keep prints behind a glass plate or a (plexi)glass shield with UF3 filter. Prevent exposure to moisture. Use gloves when handling the paper to avoid smudges and finger prints on the printing surface.

When you buy a fine art print from us, we give you two options. Or you buy just the print from us which we ship to you in a protective container. That gives you the choice of doing your own mounting and framing, choosing your own mounting board and mat and frame. Or you buy your print matted and framed, where we choose these different components to suit your fine print.

NOTE: Actual print stability and longevity will vary according to image, display conditions, light intensity, humidity, and atmospheric conditions. Due to varying conditions of display or storage, which are beyond our control, RFG Art Photography can not guarantee stability or longevity of it's prints once they are out of our hands.
